1. Agreement to terms
By accessing clarebabbage.com, booking a session, enrolling in a program, or using any services offered by Clare Babbage, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Services offered
Clare Babbage offers the following services:
Coaching and healing sessions:
1:1 transformational sessions (coaching, energetic clearing, intuitive healing, spiritual development, experiential astrology)
4-session transformational series
12-month Coaching Package (Seeds, Growth, and Harvest tiers)
Programs:
Simple Sovereignty Program (self-paced online course)
Workshops and events
Resources:
Free downloads, guides, and tools
Blog content and educational materials
All services are provided by Clare Babbage, who operates as a sole trader in New Zealand.
3. Important disclaimer - Nature of services
The services offered by Clare Babbage are for educational and spiritual development purposes only. They are not a substitute for medical, psychological, or psychiatric treatment.
Clare Babbage is not a licensed therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, or medical practitioner
Services involve professional coaching, energetic work, and spiritual guidance
If you are experiencing mental health concerns, medical conditions, or are in crisis, please seek appropriate professional help from a qualified medical or mental health professional
Clare reserves the right to decline or discontinue working with clients if she believes they require support beyond her scope of practice
What to expect:
Sessions are co-creative: Clare holds space and offers guidance, but you are responsible for your own choices and outcomes
Healing and transformation work at different paces for different people
Results are not guaranteed and may vary
You may experience emotional, physical, or energetic shifts during and after sessions - this is normal and part of the integration process
By using Clare's services, you acknowledge that:
You are participating voluntarily
You take full responsibility for your choices and outcomes
You understand the educational nature of the services
You will seek appropriate medical or mental health support if needed
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to book services independently.
Minors (under 18) may participate only with explicit parental or guardian consent.
5. Booking and payment
Booking process:
All bookings are made through the Acuity scheduling system on clarebabbage.com
You will receive a confirmation email with session details once your booking is complete
By booking, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy
Payment terms:
Payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise arranged
All prices are in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and include GST where applicable
Accepted payment methods: credit card, debit card (processed via PayPal through Acuity)
Payment plans:
Payment plans are available for the 12-Month Coaching Package
By selecting a payment plan, you authorise automatic monthly payments for the duration of the program
If a payment fails, you will be notified by email and given 7 days to update payment details
Failure to maintain payment may result in suspension of services until payment is received
Outstanding balances may be sent to collections if not resolved
6. Cancellation and rescheduling policy
For 1:1 sessions and individual appointments:
You may reschedule or cancel with 48 hours notice at no charge
Cancellations or reschedule requests with less than 48 hours notice may incur a fee
To reschedule: use your Acuity account or email clare@clarebabbage.com
No-shows (failure to attend without notice) forfeit the full session fee
For 4-session packages:
Individual sessions within the package follow the 48-hour cancellation policy above
Packages must be used within 12 months from date of purchase
Unused sessions expire after 12 months with no refund or extension
For 12-month Coaching Package:
This is a 12-month commitment
Individual monthly sessions follow the 48-hour cancellation policy
If you miss a session without 48 hours notice, that session may be forfeited
Payment plans continue for the full 12 months regardless of session attendance
See refund policy below for early termination
For digital programs (Simple Sovereignty):
Digital products and courses are non-refundable once access has been granted
If you haven't accessed the course yet, contact clare@clarebabbage.com within 7 days of purchase to discuss options
Clare-initiated cancellations:
If Clare needs to cancel or reschedule, you will receive as much notice as possible
You will be offered an alternative time or a full refund
Emergency exceptions:
In genuine emergency situations (medical emergency, bereavement, natural disaster), please contact Clare directly
Accommodations may be made at Clare's discretion on a case-by-case basis
7. Refund policy
1:1 sessions:
Full refund available if cancelled with 48+ hours notice
No refund for cancellations with less than 48 hours notice or no-shows
4-session packages:
No refunds once purchased
Unused sessions remain valid for 12 months from purchase date
12-month Coaching Package:
This is a 12-month commitment with no refunds
If you wish to discontinue early, you may request to pause payments by mutual agreement, but the program cannot be transferred or refunded
In exceptional circumstances (serious illness, major life event), Clare may offer payment plan adjustments at her sole discretion
Digital products and programs:
Non-refundable once access has been granted
Refund processing:
Approved refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days to the original payment method
8. Client responsibilities and conduct
By working with Clare Babbage, you agree to:
Provide accurate information:
Complete intake forms honestly and thoroughly
Disclose any medical or mental health conditions that may be relevant to your sessions
Inform Clare of any changes in your circumstances
Respect session boundaries:
Arrive on time for sessions (online or in-person)
Be present and engaged during sessions
Find a quiet, private space for online sessions
Test technology before online sessions
Take responsibility for your journey:
You are the expert on your own life and the decision-maker
Clare provides guidance, but you are responsible for your choices and their outcomes
Commit to any agreed-upon practices or reflections between sessions
Seek appropriate medical or mental health support when needed
Maintain respectful conduct:
Treat Clare with respect and professionalism
No abusive, harassing, or threatening behavior will be tolerated
Respect the confidentiality of other clients in group settings
Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in termination of services without refund.
9. Intellectual property
All content on clarebabbage.com and provided through Clare's services, including but not limited to:
Website text, images, graphics, and design
Course materials, workbooks, and downloadable resources
Recorded content, videos, and audio
Blog posts and articles
Assessment tools, frameworks, and methodologies
Coaching methodology and related materials
...is the intellectual property of Clare Babbage and is protected by copyright law.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:
Access and use materials for your personal growth and development only
Download resources intended for client use
Share links to Clare's website or publicly available content
You may not:
Reproduce, distribute, modify, or sell any content without written permission
Use Clare's methods, materials, or intellectual property to teach or coach others commercially
Remove copyright notices, watermarks, or attribution
Record sessions without explicit written permission
Share or distribute course materials with non-participants
Violation of intellectual property rights may result in:
Immediate termination of services without refund
Legal action to protect Clare Babbage's rights
10. Confidentiality
Clare's commitment to you:
Everything you share in private sessions is confidential
Clare will not disclose your personal information, session content, or identity without your explicit consent
Exception: Clare may be required to break confidentiality if she believes you are at imminent risk of harming yourself or others, or if required by law
Your commitment:
What is shared in private Facebook groups or group sessions remains confidential
Do not share other clients' personal information, stories, or experiences
Respect the privacy of all participants in group settings

11. Communication between sessions
For all clients:
You may email clare@clarebabbage.com with questions or brief updates
Response time: within 2-3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays)
Email is for administrative questions and brief check-ins, not ongoing coaching
For Growth and Harvest tier clients (12-Month Coaching Package):
You have access to messaging support between sessions as part of your package
This is for brief check-ins, questions, or support - not full coaching conversations
Response time: within 1-2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays)
Crisis situations:
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or emergency, please contact emergency services immediately
Crisis support: Call or text 1737 in New Zealand, or call 111 for emergencies
Email is not appropriate for urgent or crisis situations
12. Technical requirements and online sessions
For online sessions via Zoom:
You are responsible for having a stable internet connection and working audio/video
Test your technology before the scheduled session time
Find a quiet, private space where you won't be interrupted
Have a backup plan (phone number) in case of technical difficulties
If technical issues prevent the session:
Contact Clare as soon as possible
We will reschedule at no charge if the issue is on Clare's end
If the issue is on your end, standard cancellation policy applies
For online programs:
You need reliable internet access to view course content
Content is hosted on Squarespace, YouTube, and Facebook
You are responsible for ensuring your device and browser are compatible
Technical support for platform issues: contact the respective platform
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law:
Clare Babbage is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from services provided
Clare's total liability for any claim related to services shall not exceed the amount you paid for those specific services
You participate in all sessions, programs, and practices at your own risk
You agree to hold Clare Babbage harmless from any claims, damages, or losses arising from your participation in services
This includes but is not limited to:
Results or outcomes of coaching or healing work
Decisions you make based on guidance received
Integration experiences or emotional responses
Technical issues with online sessions or platforms
Third-party services or platforms (Acuity, Zoom, Squarespace, etc.)
14. Testimonials and marketing
Clare may occasionally request permission to use client testimonials, feedback, or success stories for marketing purposes.
Your rights:
You are never obligated to provide a testimonial
You may request to remain anonymous or use a first name only
You can request removal of your testimonial at any time by emailing clare@clarebabbage.com
You retain ownership of any testimonials you provide
Photos and media:
If photos or videos are taken during in-person events or workshops, you will be informed in advance
You may opt out of being photographed
You may request removal of any photos or videos that include you
15. Termination of services
Clare reserves the right to terminate the working relationship immediately if:
You breach these Terms of Service
You engage in abusive, harassing, threatening, or disrespectful behavior
You repeatedly miss sessions without proper notice
You fail to meet payment obligations
Clare determines she cannot provide appropriate support for your needs
Clare believes continuing would be harmful or unethical
In the event of termination:
You will be notified in writing via email
No refunds will be provided for services already rendered
Access to programs and materials will be revoked
Clare will provide referrals to other practitioners where appropriate
Outstanding payment obligations remain due
You may terminate:
You may discontinue services at any time by notifying Clare in writing
Refund policy (Section 7) applies
For 12-month Coaching Package: payment obligations continue unless otherwise agreed in writing
16. Changes to services or terms
Clare reserves the right to:
Modify service offerings, pricing, or program structure at any time
Update these Terms of Service with reasonable notice
Changes will be posted on clarebabbage.com with an updated "Last updated" date
Material changes will be notified via email to active clients
Continued use of services after changes constitutes acceptance of new terms
For existing clients in ongoing programs:
Changes will not affect the terms you agreed to when you enrolled
You will complete your program under the original terms and pricing
Exception: changes required by law apply immediately
17. Dispute resolution
If any dispute arises:
Informal resolution: Please contact Clare directly at clare@clarebabbage.com to discuss. We will make every good faith effort to resolve issues informally and amicably.
Mediation: If informal resolution is not successful, we agree to attempt mediation before pursuing legal action.
Governing law: These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
Jurisdiction: Any legal proceedings will take place in the courts of New Zealand, specifically in the Hawke's Bay region where practicable.
18. General provisions
Entire agreement: These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Clare Babbage regarding services.
Severability: If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision does not waive the right to enforce it later.
Force majeure: Clare is not liable for failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, illness, government restrictions, internet outages, or other unforeseen events.
Assignment: You may not transfer or assign your rights under these terms. Clare may assign these terms in the event of a business sale or transfer.
Survival: Provisions regarding intellectual property, confidentiality, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution survive termination of services.
